Holistic Massage therapists are practitioners who focus on the entire person ' not just symptoms' to restore much needed balance and harmony with holistic wisdom and a beautiful combination of massage techniques.
Learning Holistic massage at BH Holistics training academy is an amazing, enjoyable journey into massage as you learn the many different massage techniques to treat each person uniquely and individually using the holistic wisdom of a holistic therapist and the knowledge of an experienced massage therapist.
Within your learning journey you can expect to learn all the basic techniques of Swedish massage, understand the Lymph drainage system and massage techniques, release blocked acupressure points, practice the soothing and relaxing Lomi Lomi massage movements, create an exquisite massage with heated bamboo working deeper into the tissues when required and gain the knowledge and understanding of a holistic and massage therapist with many years of experience to share with you.
With Holistic massage training you will learn to adapt to a variety of different states of health and physical fitness of the client and be able to treat accordingly to the reasons of stress, tension and other factors and events effecting their lives.
Over the six months you will receive one to one tuition, directed learning and case study models for your practical learning. All training groups are limited to no more than four students which creates a friendly, supportive, learning environment.
You will be required to compete self study work, show knowledge and understanding in both theory and practical practical assessment.
The aim of this Holistic massage course will teach you the theory and practical techniques of the alternative therapy of Holistic Massage.
Enabling you to practice independently as a Holistic Massage Therapist.
Aims and Objectives
To perform a professional Holistic Massage therapy treatment to an occupational standard within an expected commercial time.
To know and understand the procedures and practical techniques required to perform a Holistic Massage therapy treatment to an occupational standard.
To know and understand what massage is, the effects of the Holistic Approach, the history of massage and the effects of Massage.
Understand the holistic approach within therapy work.
Know and understand the basic anatomy and physiology of the body: the skin, systems of the body, the bones and muscles of the body and cellular structure to perform a holistic massage safely and professionally to a high standard.

Assessment
Continual assessment throughout course.
The course is designed to allow the students flexibility of individual time frames to complete the course meeting their personal restrictions and commitments but will not exceed 6 months.
Knowledge and understanding assessed with small tests after each unit of which there is 6 units and in final written / oral exam.
Practical skills assessed in final practical exam, questions and answers to assess knowledge and understanding.
Case study, practical work assessed and checklist from client testimonials assessing practitioner skills.
Practical Work & Case Studies
All written and theory work will be taught during the course, homework will embed knowledge and understanding.
If you spend a minimum of three hours on each lesson; this includes reading the lesson, answering the questions at the end of each lesson and practical work.
You can study at your own pace.

Case studies will be included in your 6 practical training day sessions at BH Holistic's.
Support
I love teaching and helping others learn and bring joy into their work. I will work with each student personally and give the support needed to achieve this qualification in Holistic massage. I would like to work to a 6 month time schedule to enable you the time to achieve completion of all your case studies, written work, and exam. But I am happy to allow you the time you require if you need less or more time .
I put my heart into my courses just as therapists we love the work we do and I am the friendly supportive teacher on the other end of the phone when needed
Resources
Please bring a pen and anything to jot notes down on. Please bring any juice and food for lunch ( Penrith has a lot of food outlets for lunch nearby, if you want to pop out for lunch and have a break)
I will provide a training manual, massage oil and therapy room all set up ready.

When payment has been received at BH Holistic's, you will receive confirmation of your booking.
Qualification
Holistic Massage Practitioner
You will gain an accredited certificate for Holistic Massage Practitioner with BH Holistics an approved executive training provider with International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine.

Courses are refundable up to 14 days prior to Course, provided the notice is received in writing and £20.00 will be deducted for administration charges.
We reserve the right to cancel a course date up to 7 days before and will advice you of an alternative date and provide you with a full refund. In the event of cancellation BH Holistics is not liable for travel expenses, childcare or any other associated costs.
