Indian Head Massage Course

Indian Head Massage is based on the ancient healing system of Ayurveda and has been practised in India for thousands of years. Usually performed while the client is seated, this popular massage takes around 45 to 60 minutes and works on the upper back, shoulders, neck, head and face to help ease a variety of stress-related conditions and relieve muscular tension. It’s simple to learn, highly effective and makes a great accompaniment to other therapies such as body massage, aromatherapy and Reiki.

The aim of this Indian Head Massage course will teach you the breathing techniques, how to connect to the energies of your client, to know and understand the history of Indian head massage , the benefits , the different oils to use or or not, the contraindications and aftercare.

To learn and develop all the practical techniques of the alternative therapy of Indian Head Massage,enabling you to practice independently as a Massage Therapist.

To perform a professional Indian Head Massage therapy treatment to an occupational standard within an expected commercial time.

To know and understand the procedures and practical techniques required to perform a Indian head Massage therapy treatment to an occupational standard.

To perform an Indian Head massage safely and professionally to a high standard


Practical assessment on course.

Professional discussions,questions and answers to assess knowledge and understanding.

Case study work assessed during two days of training and checklist from client testimonials assessing practitioner skills.


You will gain an accredited certificate for reflexology massage practitioner with BH Holistics an approved executive training provider with International Practitioners of Holistic Medici

Practical Work & Case Studies

If you spend a minimum of three hours on each lesson; this includes reading the lesson, answering the questions at the end of each lesson and practical work. You can study at your own pace and have no pressure of deadlines  ( we will do the majority of this during our training)

Case studies.

You need three case studies to be practised on  sending me a detailed summary of each of your case studies. ( case study practice included on the course)


I love teaching and helping others learn and bring joy into their work. I will work with each student personally and give the support needed to achieve this qualification in Indian Head massage. 

Completion of all your case studies and any written work will be assessed on your training days.

 I am happy to allow you an extension of time should you require or  you need  more time..

I am the friendly supportive teacher on the other end of the phone when needed


Please bring a pen and anything to jot notes down on. Please bring any juice and food for lunch ( Penrith has a lot of food outlets for lunch nearby, if you want to pop out for lunch and have a break)

I will provide a training manual, massage oil and therapy room all set up ready.

I have filtered water available at all times and will provide some snacks to keep our energy up !

Courses are refundable up to 14 days prior to Course, provided the notice is received in writing and £20.00 will be deducted for administration charges.

We reserve the right to cancel a course date up to 7 days before and will advice you of an alternative date and provide you with a full refund. In the event of cancellation BH Holistics is not liable for travel expenses, childcare or any other associated costs
